An original totem pole design commissioned by Stewart Kelly in Waco, Texas. It stands over fifteen feet and is made out of eastern red cedar, mesquite and douglas fir.
I was hired by a tech start up called Yonder to chainsaw carve in their downtown Austin high rise office and speak about the creative process to their employees. This is a great use for battery chainsaws - quieter and no fumes!

A collaboration with Disney sculpture artist, R.L. Blair, this adult-sized rocking dragon was created as a pop up photo booth experience and has been shown at RTX Austin, Titmouse Animation Studios and Television Academy in LA.

In a partnership between STIHL Inc and Burton Snowboards, I was able to contribute some work for STASH Killington, Burton's snowboard run in Vermont.

Here is a commission for Dungeons and Dragons enthusiasts and owners of Titmouse Animation Studios for "Bugbear Canyon," their mystical vacation property in Texas.
In 2019, I competed at Chetwynd International Chainsaw Championship, one of the top chainsaw carving competitions in the world. Although I didn't place, my good friend and carving assistant John Bello and I beat the height record with this 15.5' sculpture. Watch the video!
In 2019, Buffalo Trace UK flew me to London to carve a wooden buffalo for a live audience in Shoreditch. We took over Stolen Space Gallery on Brick Ave, near Whitechapel. It was an honor to demonstrate chainsaw sculpture for such a cool company, in such a prestigious location! Watch the video!
The Denecours of Pacific Grove, CA commissioned this giant octopus wrestling with a steamer ship after their Monterey Pine was killed by a beetle infestation. I added some storm salvaged Western Red Cedar to create this stump transformation!
My work has been influenced by living in Texas, from the subjects, such as this "day of the dead" inspired carving to the prominent use of local, red-colored eastern red cedar.

I carved this zombie alongside super star Cherie Currie, as she carved Leatherface, for a live music event called "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" at SXSW in 2014. She's a badass! Watch the video!
